Each individual Shoe Chest is meticulously crafted from solid oak and lined with natural dyed green veneers. The rattan weaved lid sits beautiful on a dyed linen and is accompanied with green veneer trimmings around the chest. Brass inlays and hinges hold the folding mechanism together.
The bottom of each box also contains a casement space for shoe care accessories to be stored. The chests are finished with hard wax oil and hand-polished with renaissance wax.
Each and every chest is accompanied with an auspicious Peranakan motif, symbolizing fortune, happiness, prosperity and longevity.
Each box comes with a Certificate of Authencity hand written by calligrapher Craftvaries. This is a limited run of 4 chests and is sold individually. An exquisite collector’s item that should never be missed.
